Well in relation to this and the controversy with which it has generated (See the Mayo Echo's response here-opens as a PDF) I just wished to bring the fact that Castlebar.ie has been shut down as a result of legal threats-the full story of which is available here at Castlebar.ie. I would just like to remind commentators about the Disclaimer which is here. The trend in the last couple of months to threaten Websites (See here for example about the Politics.ie issue two months ago) to remove content (which is fine if it is defaming of a person) but also to demand IP addresses etc. (again see the Castlebar.ie site for further information) is quiet a scary turn around.
